"Dear
Thor and Diane,
A year
ago, I met a young pianist named Andrew. He is a junior in high school,
and his family has recently moved here from Viet Nam. Since then, I
had the opportunity to speak with him and listen to him play on many
occasions. I grew increasingly impressed with his talent, dedication,
maturity, and goodness of heart.

Several
months ago, I found out that he did not have a piano in his home, because
his family could not afford one. So, with the help of two friends, I
went on a mission to find a piano for Andrew.
After hearing
Andrew’s “story” many friends donated money to “help
the cause,” and as more friends came on board, one of us started
calling ourselves the “Piano Angels.” |

| Finally
we located and purchased an older “console” piano in excellent
condition. We also had enough money in our fund to have it tuned once
it got to its new home, but did not have enough to get it delivered! The
piano we found was in a basement in Woodbine, Md. and needed to be moved
to a third floor apartment in Olney, Md. After checking with several moving
companies, I discovered that the cost to move it was prohibitive. I knew
that both of you were musicians and had big hearts, so this was when you
received an e-mail from us asking if you could help. |

Without
hesitation, you volunteered to help, and your crew moved the piano for
us the next day…free of charge!!! They took great care not to
damage the piano; and additionally, Warner and his two men were courteous,
friendly, and kept smiling even though they carried a very heavy piano
up three flights of stairs.
You and your crew
are now officially “Piano Angels.” Thank you so much for
helping make a miracle happen for Andrew!
Sincerely,"
